COLLABORATION SATURDAY - Yves Saint Laurent La Lacque Couture No. 59 Nuit Noire - Spring 2015

...black night, starry night....

It's Saturday again and of course Collaboration Saturday with Maria.

Well, today I got a polish for you, which might be a bit special. On buying it, I was 100% sure, that this is supposed to be a varnish on it's own. Applying the first coat, I really started doubting, for the translucent black evenly spread on the nails and black and silver square glitters became visible. Well, what's the use of black glitters in a black full coverage polish, except making an uneven finish? So may be it could be used as an effect topcoat too? May be it will be looking gorgeous on a red or a dark grey?

The base of Nuit Noire is a semi translucent black, which contains black and silver square glitters. Some of the black square glitters are visible on the right side of the pointer.

Application was easy and 3 coats were needed for coverage. Drying time was short and a topcoat is not needed.

Now, I'm curious to see, what Maria will be showing today. I guess it will bei Chanel? Let's have a look at her post.

Viel Spaß beim Lackieren!

Liebe Grüße,

COLLABORATION SATURDAY YSL YVES SAINT LAURENT LA LACQUE NO. 3

...Number three...

It's time again for Maria's and my Collaboration Saturday.

Today I'm red again, for I've chosen YSL La Lacque No. 3.. No. 3 was my second YSL polish, but my first YSL polish, which is no effect topcoat. I was so amazed by the quality that some others followed right away, like i.e. Rouge Dada and Nuit Noire, which is actually still waiting to be worn and swatched. Well, back to the quality: great coverage, short drying time and easy removal without smearing. I guess everybody know, that after having removed a red polish, one looks like coming from the slaughterhouse, which by the way is the reason why I'm rarely wearing red.

The colour of No. 3 is a classical, but not too bright red. Very amazing.

February Babes - Nailmail & Shopping in February

...bescheidene Beute....

01.02. Plünderung: Smitten Polish Out Of The Darkness, KB Shimmer Would Jubilee It, KB Shimmer You Go Ghoul!, Smitten Polish Fire Burn

COLLABORATION SATURDAY - Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture 6 Rouge Dada by Lloyd Simmonds Spring/Summer 2013

...dadaistisches Rot...

Again it's Collaboration Saturday with Maria, but for a change today no Dior, but Yves Saint Laurent. Anyway, next Saturday the Dior Nail Bar Collection will be continued.

Eventhough I already showed a classical cherry red - Deborah Lippman Lady Is A Tramp - to you, today another classical red, by Yves Saint Laurent. I love red varnishes and as Beverly Feldman always says: too much is not enough ;o). Anyway, red is not red and what I'd like to point out, is that not only colour, but also qualitiy can be totally different. Besides the durability, I was really impressed when I removed this varnish for: no residues, no stains and clean fingers.

Application was easy and 2 coats were needed for coverage. Drying time was short and a topcoat is not needed.

Ich bin gespannt, was Maria heute zeigen wird. Auch Yves Saint Laurent? Schaun wir mal nach.

Yves Saint Laurent Première Neige Topcoat

...Weihnachtsgeschenk Nr. 2...
